Grandma's boyfriend Paul, a plain plate of noodles (with a little bit of butter) and Mr. Music are all guest stars in the hilarious children's comedy special John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch. With so many silly moments to choose from, creating a concept for this animated movie poster was an absolute blast! I decided to focus on the volcano experiment scene, because it perfectly encapsulates the dynamic between the children and adults in the special. The explosion then reveals Mr. Music, an homage to the chaotic and surprisingly silent end to the show.
